Danish Jewish Museum invites you to the launch of Jewish History in Aarhus during World War II by Klaus Bertelsen. The book sheds new light on an overlooked part of Danish history and documents that at least 62 people of Jewish background in Aarhus were forced to confront the Nazi persecution of Jews.
Drawing on previously unknown diaries, photo albums, and close source studies, the book brings readers close to the lives affected. At the reception, there will be speeches by Janus Møller Jensen and Julie Rokkjær Birch, and Klaus Bertelsen will present some of the unique sources he uncovered while working on the book. A drink and snacks will also be served.
