Experience the performance piece The Fall, a distinctive artistic challenge nominated for a Reumert Award in the category Outstanding Special Production in 2025.
Three of Denmark's most accomplished circus artists – Signe Løve Anderskov, Henriette Aarup and Kajsa Bohlin – have worked professionally with (not) falling for over 20 years. Now they invite audiences into their world of fear and wonder, unfolding the phenomenon both physically and existentially. Drawing from autobiographical material, literature, language, Einstein's theories and classical myths such as Icarus and the Fall of Man, they explore the anatomy and mythology of falling.
My body stiffens at the thought of humiliation in the small fall and feels the fear of the great, infinite fall. Because after the fall there is nothing. Or is there?
The production was created by Signe Løve Anderskov, Henriette Aarup and Kajsa Bohlin in collaboration with set designer Sir Grand Lear, dramaturg Betina Rex, composer Mika Forsling and lighting designer Martin Danielsen.
