Bats are fascinating and important animals in nature – but many people associate them with creepiness and myths. This workshop shows children a completely different side of these nocturnal mammals through a unique experience where you become bats together with performance artist and Ambassador for Brown Long-Eared Bats Linh Le.
Through play and movement, you explore the world of bats – how they fly, how their echolocation works, and what important role they play in ecosystems. You listen to their calls, move to their sounds, and immerse yourselves in their unique way of being in the world.
As a finale, everyone enjoys a delicious "bat smoothie" – naturally without blended bats! The drink is made from fruits from plants that bats around the world help protect and pollinate, such as bananas, avocados, and almonds.
The event is specially aimed at children aged 6-10, but everyone, including younger and older siblings, are welcome. Part of it takes place outdoors, so dress practically for the weather.
