Join a parent evening at Copenhagen Main Library focused on understanding gifted children. Psychologist Dea Franck, a specialist in neuropsychology and giftedness, will guide you through key insights about what giftedness entails, how you as parents can understand these children's special needs, and what challenges they may face.
Gifted children think innovatively, connect knowledge creatively, and have the drive to engage deeply in their interests. At the same time, they may experience asynchronous development and feel alienated from their surroundings, which can lead to emotional difficulties. As parents, you play a crucial role in creating safety, understanding, and the regulation these children need.
Dea Franck is a neuropsychologist, author of seven books on giftedness, member of the Danish Ministry of Education's expert group, and herself gifted. She will be in conversation with children's literature mediator Mille Gross. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for questions.
