Learn the Japanese embroidery art of sashiko and give your old clothes, shirts or jeans new life. Sashiko is a meditative technique based on small, precise stitches, originally used to repair fabric but now applied decoratively as well.
In the workshop you will be introduced to how to transfer your design onto the textile and receive guidance throughout the process. NORDHUS provides inspiration and materials – you bring the piece of clothing, bag or other textile you wish to upcycle and refresh.
Practical: 7:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m. at NORDHUS. You are welcome to arrive a little earlier to settle in, or you can purchase a ticket to a Japanese-inspired long table dinner at 6:00 p.m. Remember to bring textile. Admission 150 kr. The event is held on August 25, September 22, October 20 and November 17.
