A grand evening with GRAMMY-nominated Lido Pimienta, presenting her forthcoming album "Caribenya". The Colombian-Canadian artist delves deep into Afro-Caribbean traditions, Colombian rhythms, electronic elements, and classical orchestrations. With over 15 years on stage and previous nominations for the Polaris Music Prize, Pimienta has established herself as one of today's most original voices – an artist who merges personal narratives, political consciousness, and boundless musical imagination.
Her recent works celebrate both her Afro-Latin American and Afro-indigenous heritage while pointing sharply into the future of music. "Caribenya" brings together the threads of her career: lush orchestral arrangements meet floating ambient landscapes, pop sensibility, and pulsing Caribbean beats in a work that breathes balance between resistance, care, and radical beauty.
Before Lido Pimienta takes the stage, Sound and Fury warms up the crowd with his dynamic set. The Copenhagen-based DJ blends dancehall, jazz, dubstep, soul, reggaeton, and jungle into a musical expression of cultural synthesis – his Colombian heritage meets the hard sounds of South London, where he grew up.
