At Nørrebro Bibliotek, you can experience a livestreamed lecture from Aarhus University in which three researchers explore coffee from several perspectives. You will gain insight into the biology of the coffee plant, its cultivation and processing, as well as sustainability, the impact of climate change on the future of coffee, and the health aspects of drinking coffee.
Speakers
- Anders Sanchez Barfod on the botany of the coffee plant, its wild relatives, and agrobiodiversity
- Aske Skovmand Bosselmann on coffee cultivation, ecosystem services, and research on coffee in a changing climate
- Kjeld Hermansen on the history of coffee in Denmark and research into coffee, health, and type 2 diabetes
The lecture is part of the series Public Lectures in Natural Science and is shown on a big screen. The level is advanced, but everyone can benefit regardless of academic background. Admission is free and tickets are free.
