Meet the artists behind the current group exhibition at Gammelgaard: Anna Fro Vodder, Eske Kath, Kathrine Ærtebjerg and Lise Blomberg. The exhibition explores the sun as symbol through the lens of art, raising important questions about its meaning today.
The sun has since ancient times been ascribed symbolic power — sources of life and energy. But what does this symbol mean in our present time, where climate crisis and mass extinction of species are realities? The artists investigate these questions through their works and discuss inspiration from Harald Bergstedt and Carl Nielsen's classical ballad. During the event, you'll have the opportunity to converse directly with the artists and Pernille Fonnesbech, the director of Gammelgaard.
