How do tech giants influence our digital lives, and what other paths might be possible? In this conversation, you will meet professor of anthropology Karen Waltorp, who draws on field studies to explore how people use technology under different social and cultural conditions—and what this reveals about power, possibilities, and ideas of the future.
Karen Waltorp is a professor of anthropology at the University of Copenhagen and head of the Ethnographic Exploratorium and Multimodal Lab at the Department of Anthropology. She is interviewed by programme director Mette Holbæk as part of the series Verden forsøgt forklaret, where research-based perspectives bring current social issues into discussion. The conversation lasts about 45 minutes and is followed by questions from the audience. The evening is also recorded and later released as a podcast.
