Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art – a spectacular blend of powerful kicks, acrobatics, music and energy. This group in Vesterbro at GAME Streetmekka focuses especially on flow and capoeira's acrobatic elements.
Training starts with thorough warm-up so you can "wake up" together with the group and be fully ready for the weekend. The class welcomes both beginners and experienced practitioners, and the trainer adapts all exercises to age and level. The community is strong – here you train, sweat, laugh and develop yourself among like-minded people.
The trainer is Mestre Dourado, who has practiced capoeira for nearly 30 years and is among Denmark's few capoeira masters. The class is part of Capoeira Grupo Senzala, led by Mestre Rui from Brazil.
